Learning outdoors in the fresh air is so much fun. We are incredibly fortunate to have a secure outdoor space attached to preschool which is well equipped allowing our children to explore their learning outdoors.

Our outside space was specifically landscaped to allow our children a safe environment to learn through play. We have so many activities to chose from whether that is our mud kitchen, water table, outdoor stage, sand pit, outdoor drum kit or our very own vegetable patch, there is so much on offer to support learning outside. We regularly take walks around the village and trips locally too allowing us to further explore the outdoors. We even found a newt in the garden this summer which proved very popular with the children and inspired conversations around lots of creatures.

It isn’t just about when the sun is shining either, we explore outside throughout the year and in all weathers, that could be jumping in puddles, a crunchy leaf autumnal walk or making snow angels.
