Voluntary Contributions
Guilden Sutton Pre School works incredibly hard to offer the best pre school care to your children we possibly can, at the same time ensuring that we fulfil all liabilities as a responsible employer and registered charity.
The cost of providing these consumable resources and activities is ever increasing. Because of this and after careful consideration we have taken the decision to ask all parents/ guardians to contribute to the cost of consumables used during the day. This includes snacks, craft activities, A Star sport etc.
We therefore are introducing a voluntary contribution, requesting that parents contribute £1 each day that children attend preschool, starting January 2024. From September 2026 the voluntary contribution will increase to £1.50 each day that your child attends preschool.
Early Years Education Grant
The Government provides funding for 15 hours per week for 38 weeks per year starting from the full term after your child’s 3rd birthday. If your child also attends another setting, this funding can be split between both settings, but must not exceed a maximum of 15 hours per week. Additional hours will be charged at our current rate. Your requirements will be discussed with you. Government Funding forms can be obtained from a member of staff. These are to be filled in and returned promptly.
You may also be eligible for the 30 hours Government funding; the online checking service is available by visiting www.childcarechoices.gov.uk. If you are eligible, you will receive a code – this needs to be reconfirmed at the end of each term in preparation for the following term. It is your responsibility to ensure that the Preschool has your code before the deadline each term. Government Funding forms can be obtained from a member of staff. These are to be filled in and returned promptly.
New for January 2024 we request that you will contribute £1 each day that your child attends preschool to support the cost of consumables used through the day such as snacks, craft activities and A star sports, this would be billed half termly starting from January 2024.
